Continuing through the journey of Nutaku, I decided to try one of the top ranked downloadable games on the site. Actually, at the time of writing this the top spot is none other than My Neighbor Is a Yandere. Now I love me some crazy bitches, and I don’t think I’ve seen them get that much love in the blog section. Therefore I thought this would be the best way to get my dick chopped off and get paid doing it.
The game’s first version was released on November 17, 2017 this year and clocks in at around 120.5 MB. It was developed by Maranyo Games and published by Super Hippo Studios. It run on Windows, Mac, and Linux and can be purchased on Nutaku.com for 5 measly U.S. dollars. With that out of the way, let’s get started.
Gameplay
We’re back at it again with another visual novel. Which of course means that we say fuck it to gameplay and just see if the choices of dialogue matter. On the bright side, the game does good job of keeping the choices clear. You can have a reasonable idea of what choices will result in what outcome with enough fear that this bitch might kill you to keep it interesting. On the downside, the game itself takes about 20 minutes or less (depending on how fast you’re fapping) so there’s not that many choices to begin with. Not to mention that there’s only three endings so far, and some don’t even have sex. You want that dick wet, you better choose your dialogue wisely boi.
Writing
In a visual novel, that writing better be decent, and that’s about what you get. The dialogue is pretty simple, it knows you’re just here to see if a crazy bitch is gonna fuck ya and that’s it. You won’t be brought to your knees by the life-like characters or sensory descriptions, and that’s okay. What’s not okay is the typos in the text. If we were on a spiritual 5 hour fucking journey, I’d be more lenient, but shit man this is like a twenty minute game and there’s at least four typos I can recall from memory. The obvious kind too. Luckily I expect these to be dealt with as they continue updating the game.
You should be the most scare.
H-Scenes
Reading above, you might be confused why this game ranks so highly on the site, and I was too until my yandere neighbor reminded me that this games are about poppin’ off! Unlike Galaxy Girls, the game actually takes proper time to go through its two h-scenes that have a decent amount of dialogue and respectably sexy art. The only needed aspect is some more of the yandere element. The sex stays remarkably vanilla. Bitch, if yandere is in the title, I want some dank edgy sex, maybe a few cuts here and there. Just saying, it’s kinda false advertisement.
I was gonna start swingin' if this was it.
The game developers are now working on the second chapter of the game. I’m hoping then the typos will be reduced and the sex can move forward into more fetish-y directions. Overall though I’m excited to see if the game progresses as it holds the potential. I’d give My Neighbor Is a Yandere 3 murders out of 5, with the chance to grow into 4 murders depending on the next chapter. Check it out on Nutaku here!
