Aya Hirano is Named Cool Japan Ambassador
By Kasaix • 4 years ago

Aya Hirano is a legendary voice actress from Japan. She has numerous voice credits to her name, from anime, to dubbing live action movies, video games, and even some theater credits. I had no idea, but she also voiced Cristina Vespucci in Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and that completely fits. She's most famous for voicing Haruhi Suzumiya in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise,  Konata Izumi in Lucky Star, and Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail. It's little wonder why she was named as Japan's Cool Ambassador. She announced this on her twitter feed, which you can see HERE.

The Cool Japan program has official government support and is aimed at promoting elements of popular culture, such as anime and manga, across the world. In her words “I want to spread Japan’s charms by attending overseas anime events, among other occasions.”

On another note, while trying to find a good header image, I came across this: a cool wallpaper made by KonKonna.
