Explore Eldritch Erotica in Lust From Beyond

Tentacles and porn have been entwined with one another since at least 1814, courtesy of Hokusai. Tentacles are also a recurring theme in the works of H.P Lovecraft as a part of several unknowable beings from other dimensions, stemming from his fear of what lurks beneath the sea. But I'm not sure if there's been any truly Lovecraftian porn as of yet. I've seen hentai of Cthulhu et al and works inspired by Lovecraft such as Bloodborne and Darkest Dungeon, but what the world really needs is a game where you can just stick your dick in an indescribable entity from beyond the realms of human comprehension.

And that's where Polish studio MovieGames comes in. Earlier this year they released their first title, Lust For Darkness, a first person psychological horror where you play as a man searching for his lost wife. His journey leads him to a Victorian mansion belonging to a perverted cult that shifts between our world and the alien dimension of Lusst’ghaa, inspired by the works of H.R Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński but if they had some serious sexual issues they needed to work out (even more in Giger's case). Reception for the game was mixed, but that didn't stop them from planning a sequel.

A mere ten hours after launching on Kickstarter last week, Lust From Beyond managed to reach its CA$15,000 goal and is still going strong. Set in the same universe as its predecessor, this time you play as a member of the cult and MovieGames promises a much more immersive experience than their debut, which will now include a wider game world, combat, puzzles and most importantly, fully interactive sex scenes. They promise the game will "set new boundaries in horror and erotica themes in video games," a pretty big claim but as a fan of Lovecraft, Giger and Beksinski and porn I'm interested to see if it'll live up to the hype.

Interested? Check out Lust For Darkness on Steam and the Kickstarter page for Lust From Beyond if you want to get in on one of the backer bonuses including a playable demo. But be quick, despite reaching its target you'll only have until June 4 to donate to the developers.

Lust From Beyond is estimated to release in March 2020, although that may be subject to change. What do you think of the game? Should there be more Lovecraftian porn? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
