Futuristic Waifu Bartending Simulator Comes to Consoles
By Yung Namahage • 5 years ago

Even before its release on PC, Mac and Linux in 2016, Sukeban Games' VA-11 HALL-A has set itself apart from other visual novels with its wavey aesthetic, intriguing world and nonlinear gameplay. Set in a cyberpunk dystopia where the populace is dominated by corporations, you play as a bartender at the titular drinking hole, serving up cocktails to an eccentric clientele including no small number of increasingly augmented waifus. The developers have shown an interest in bringing the title to other platforms in the past including a PlayStation Vita port in 2017, but now the game is finally coming to PS4 and Switch thanks to publisher Ysbryd Games.

Personally, I'm a big fan of cyberpunk and you might have guessed that I'm into waifus as well. I would've checked out the game years ago if my laptop didn't struggle to run Doki Doki Literature Club so I'm glad it's making the move to PS4. Catch the announcement trailer here.

VA-11 HALL-A is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch on May 2. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.
