Is this about to get me back into Genshin Impact? No, not really. But, I’ll be honest, she does get me excited for some NSFW art though. But, I’m getting ahead of myself. Genshin Impact has released a new trailer in the lead-up for one of their new characters, Varka.



And for many who’ve watched the trailer, didn’t give much attention to Varka at all. The one who stole the spotlight, and was barely in the trailer compared to Varka, is Mona’s astrology teacher, Barbeloth.

An old hag to join the Genshin Impact roaster is a nice addition. I love her design from her white bob haircut, pale skin, wrinkles under her eyes, hoop earrings, the whole package. But, some people are disappointed by the design.

Now, at first, I would be on their side, older women don’t look like this. They're supposed to have sagging skin, and a hunch back.  But, I’ve learned that people can be smoking hot, even as late as their 70s. If you take care of yourself, keep eating healthy, and genetics, it’s possible to stay looking young. So it’s possible for Barbeloth to look like this even at her age. And also, she’s a mage, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had some kind of spell keeping her looking as young as she is. These GOATed Genshin artists are really flexing her old but young look perfectly.

With her not looking like a NPC character, and with how many people are celebrating her, I wouldn’t be surprised if in the near future we get her as a playable character. If so, maybe I’ll finally drive back into Genshin and waste more of my time and money. I doubt it, but who knows.
