Summer Pockets Censored on the Switch
By Kasaix • 4 years ago

In our ongoing mission to inform our fans of when hotly anticipated games get the censorship axe, we bring you a quick update about Summer Pockets. Just when I was seeing Nintendo in a better light in terms of censorship, that they would succeed where Sony is now failing, and indeed where they had failed in the past, they have let me down and crushed my hopes. A visual novel by the legendary studio Key recently released Summer Pockets on the Switch. Bear in mind that it was released on the PC last year. Let's take a look at the trailer for the Switch release:

It was confirmed by a user on Twitter that the Switch version had a scene showing one of the heroines in panties covered up by an awkwardly placed sliding door. That tweet can be found HERE

On the left, you can see the original PC version. On the right, the Switch version.

Man, that just does not look good. It's like those promo shirts you see on facebook that have those decals clearly photoshopped in. Here it is again below for better comparison. The top is the original, the bottom is Switch'd up.

It's really the distance that throws it. In paintings, you use shades of colors to push things into the background. Bob Ross taught us that. Well, that lesson is on display here. It looks like her elbow is parallel with the door. Like she's standing right in the door frame, but her ass is also behind it. This is censorship done wrong.

That Twitter user also pointed out that the iPad version was just fine.
