YouTube Cancelled Us?!
By WakeUpSnooze • 3 years ago

Well that didn’t take long. In case you never cared for any of the video articles, let me explain. A while back ago we realized that we wanted to do some interesting things to spice up the blog a bit instead of every single article feeling the same. In an effort to do this, I had planned to start doing some hentai game reviews in a video format. We uploaded the first one on the Doujins YouTube channel and people seemed to like it pretty well. Shortly after that our partnership with Nutaku ended (for now at least) and that idea kinda slipped into the wayside. Not giving up though, we launched the Let’s Review Some Bitches series that was supposed to go up weekly as Interspecies Reviewers released. COVID didn’t let that happen, but regardless it did pretty okay for views for an ongoing series. We were about two episodes away from finishing when…

Sorry boys, your account was closed for violating the TOS. Now wait just a minute here. I made sure to censor every image we put on that channel. There was never anything crazy like boobs or dicks hanging out. In fact, we all know how lewd some shit on YouTube can be, and it didn’t reach those levels at all. The worst that could happen is maybe Kinky would say some shit such as “Man, I love sucking dick Snooze! Like really putting it deep in my mouth!” which while it’s a little descriptive sure, it isn’t exactly much worse than what other YouTube channels post and get away with. YouTube had said we already received a warning, but neither one of us was able to find a notification from them stating we needed to change something or face cancellation.

What's so lewd about a girl just tryna eat some meat?

On the surface this may seem like an article just complaining about getting removed, but I want to achieve two purposes here. First, to anyone who was watching our videos and is upset, don’t worry, we’re going to either be creating another channel, creating a PornHub, or wrestle with YouTube until they give us our channel back. We won’t give up so fear not it’s simply gonna take some more time. Second, this event really opened up my mind. How many articles have we done now about an artist or creator getting taken down for NSFW content? Oftentimes it’s by unfair guidelines and regulations, but up to this point I didn’t realize how big of an issue it was. I always thought “damn that sucks for them, good thing I don’t have to worry about that in my career” and here we are. These days it seems like the things you can do and say are becoming less and less by the minute. Luckily it’s not like this channel was big or that important to the site rather it was merely a chance to shake things up. But for any creator out there who DID build up a big audience only to lose it under questionable circumstances, my heart sincerely goes out to you.

Please YouTube...we cum in peace...*cough*

Have you been punished for making something NSFW? Have you lost one of your favorite creators to “questionable” policy? Leave a comment below! But don’t let the overlords read it o.0
