Get Diverse With The Office Type
By ImJustThatKinky • 5 years ago

Anything can be a waifu, or husbando. You got boats turning into waifus, you got swords turning into husbandos, and you got historical figures turning into both. Now let’s up the ante. You got office supplies turning into waifus, husbandos, and nonfu binarydos...we’ll have to work on that one.

The Office Type: Add Love to Your Resume is a comedy dating sim game where group interaction takes center stage. Pick your roster of eight characters, choose your ideal relationship path with each of them (relationship, intimacy, or friendship), and get to know their friend groups to uncover deep storylines.

The game seem reminiscent to Huniepop in gameplay and dating sim elements. While Huniepop characters focus on showing the different stereotypes of women around the world, The Office Type focus on the different gender titles of the world. With having a third of the cast being non binary, we’ll see how people will react to something so drastic. I love seeing games go this route, showing how the world has changed over the years. Sadly, some games use this as a device to be different, instead of a genuine want. I wonder which side does The Office Type lean towards.

You can check out more about The Office Type on over at their Kickstarter page.

Do you think they’re using the whole non binary thing as a way to stand out? Would you go for one of the non binary characters? Is Huniepop a good game to base your game on? Tell us in the comments below.
