If you think 2020 couldn’t get any worse for people, hell, if you didn't think it could get any worse for us anime fans, then you’d be wrong. One of the biggest anime pirating sites, Kissanime, has been taken down.

The day I never thought I would see come. For years, Kissanime has been stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Well, that stealing finally caught up to them and the owners of said stolen goods have finally hit them with copyright claims.

I wonder how Kissanime was able to live such a long time and be public, without being taken down until now. Is it because anime is becoming more mainstream with services like Crunchyroll and Funimation? Anime is way more accessible now compared to back in the day. But, even though Kissanime is gone, that doesn’t mean you can’t find your free anime elsewhere. I’ve never even used Kissanime. There are still so many other illegal anime sites for people to view. So even though it’s sad to see Kissanime go, it’s not the end of the world of cheap and poor anime fans.
