Netflix is Getting Beaten by Fansubs
By ImJustThatKinky • 2 years ago

Now I’m just going to say this right now. I’m poor, and a bad boy, so I watch fansubs. But with Komi Can’t Communicate first episode being released on Netflix, I’m happy I didn’t spend $8.99 a month to see inferior subs.

Now if you’re a person who subscribed to Netflix for more than just their anime, then this wouldn’t bother you as much. But if you’re only paying for Netflix for anime, then this is a huge hit to you. This isn’t just a Netflix thing, Funimation also doesn’t put in the effort to translate Japanese text that might be in a phone or on a chalkboard. These big companies with money can’t spend the time and money to translate everything for us, while the REAL FANS are going out of their way to translate everything.

Seeing things like this proves that there’s no reason to pay for anime subscriptions if they’re going to treat them like this. Give people a reason to not pirate, not a reason to pirate.
