Like most things, trends come and go in the world of porn. What's hot one minute might not be so popular the next. Before we go into 2019, Pornhub's annual review tells us the biggest trends on the world's largest porn site, and probably internet porn as a whole.

It's good to see that hentai is still going strong on a site with loads of varied content, earning the title of the second most searched for term just after "lesbian." Hentai is most popular in Russia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and parts of South America, and was also popular on the Pornhub Gay site, where it was the 15th most popular search term.

As you're probably aware, Bowsette was a famous source of porn parodies throughout the year, and ended up as the most popular video game character on the website despite not even appearing in any video games. 

Speaking of games, Overwatch, the most popular video game search on Pornhub, has lost its crown to a new contender. That's right, it turns out that Fortnite porn is here to stay. Searches for Fortnite spiked whenever a new character was released, and shot up by 60% when the servers were down in April.
