As we complete the first week of this brand new year, I’m bombarded by a slew of “Top 10” articles from every direction pertaining to works released in 2022. I have to say I commend the writers for actually fucking waiting until the year is over to start claiming what was the best. However, there is always an absent topic whenever this discussion comes around. Where the hell are my porn awards baby?
To me, award shows are rarely ever trustworthy and most of the time I don’t even bother to tune in for the big ones. It’s nice to see anime I enjoy get noticed for their excellence or see a game’s sound team get some recognition for a job well done, but I don’t go out of my way to sit there and watch the whole five hour stream. That being said, I think award shows can still be useful to help casuals know what releases were huge that year and what may be worth going back for. And here is where porn comes in. Unlike game releases, there is SO much damn porn circulating around the Internet every day. I daresay it is literally impossible to keep up with it, even if you stick to only professional content. I thus propose that a porn awards show or stream would be so helpful because people could cum together to share ideas about the best lewd content they saw that year and why it deserves a nomination. We could have categories for different mediums: doujinshi, hentai, JAV, art, standard live action, etc.Then boom baby throw in some tags for some extra organization “best yuri hentai 2022”, “most persuasive trap doujin 2022”. Those are the kinds of releases that I’m actually likely to miss going about my regular life but would check out if they gained popularity on an award show so I knew they at least had some people vouching for them.
Change that to "hottest girl" and we're aleady halfway there baby.
Sadly, let’s be honest the chances of such an event coming together are quite slim. Nobody really wants their business model to be associated with lewd stuff except for the few crazies out there, and it would be a hard thing to put together and get people to participate in. I doubt we’ll see something like that for a while, though I won’t rule it out forever. Anything is possible when a bunch of desperate horny people want to find some new material.
