First post of the New Year, and it'll discuss one of the dominating memes from last year: Bowsette! Twitter Trends has awarded Bowsette with the “Steering Committee Special Award”. Given the rapid rise is popularity and proliferation of fan art, it's no surprise Bowsette won an award. I wouldn't be surprised if she won several dozen awards. Even your intrepid blog author has written a lewd story about her. 



For the uninitiated, Bowsette is fan art from the great haniwa. Using the Super Crown, a power-up item normally used by Toadette to become Peachette, haniwa put it on Bowser to form Bowsette, as seen in the strip that started it all:

Of course this was just the start. We were given Boosette later on, then everyone, including Bowser Jr. was given the Super Crown. Let's give Bowsette a big round of applause for this achievement.
