This anime has been holding it down in quality during this otherwise, uh, lackluster summer season so I’m a very grateful boy. If you enjoy anime but are still sleeping on it, I have to once again ask you to give it a chance as it’s definitely an engaging emotional rollercoaster. So much so that it makes watching some of the other more… typical anime a bit difficult. Regardless, I’m here today to turn my brain off and instead boot up my lower brain to talk about the variety of girls presented in this show, and if we’ll ever seed lewd content with them.

This show spares no expense to ensure most characters are drastically different from one another, as such you get a variety of personalities to choose from. March is a young girl ready to explore life and figure out what it means to become an adult. Now WHOAH chill out, there’s an aged up version of March and that would be the one I’m talking about lewding. I mean, a 20 something year old curious virgin girl who’s desperate to try sex out and see what it’s like? These doujins write themselves man. Next you have the slick archer Parona. A deadshot with a cunning mind, she works her ass off to protect and save March from looming dangers. If you’re into grandmas for some godforsaken reason we’ve got you covered too ladies and gentlemen. Since there’s immortals in the anime you could write a doujin where she gains the power to shapeshift and can become her younger, hotter self again. There’s also Rean, a sheltered yet kind girl who’s ready to break free from her parent’s control and live life on her own terms. Do I even have to spell out that doujin? “But Snooze, all these girls are too pure and vanilla! I need something SPICY!”. Don’t worry friends, a psychotic woman named Hayase is present and trust me she’s crazy enough to enjoy some rougher sex if you’re looking to gamble with your life (and dick).

While I did give a brief rundown of most of the main female cast so far, you may notice I put less effort into describing each girl than usual for an article of this type. Why? Well, because I’m afraid it would be a waste of time. You see, I also want to use this article to call attention to the fact that this anime has HEAVY Monster vibes in terms of anti-lewding. If you get deep into anime you won’t make it far before you come across Monster as a classic banger, but despite its popularity the lewds simply aren’t there. And it makes sense. The artstyle and writing have a very mature feel. In other words it’s so big brain that nobody really cares to see the characters having sex or other petty “small brain” activites. To Your Eternity has that same aura in my opinion. There’s no fanservice at all so far. The only romance present was founded entirely on two characters learning to understand and love each other, not because “Oh my GOD dewd her bewbs are the BIGGEST in the kingdom, I love her”. At the end of the day, regardless of how much popularity this series garnishes, I doubt we’ll see that many doujins ever coming into fruition. There’s something about good writing quality that lowers doujin potential. Perhaps the utter lack of fanservice kills the will to see characters in a horny state? Or maybe after being so emotionally affected by a series, audiences grow an attachment and don’t want to ruin the atmosphere/impact of the original work? I can’t say for sure.

My upper brain says this is a magnificent accomplishment that some quality anime are “too good” to lewd and speaks to mankind’s thirst for greater knowledge and challenging material. My lower brain says this is gay that great series don’t see doujins that often while Naruto has stacks on stacks of material. No hate against Naruto but you catch my drift. There’s always the chance that I’m wrong and for some reason this series becomes a goldmine for interesting doujin situations, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. Are you watching To Your Eternity?
