Duelists of the world, it is prime time to be a Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan. Well, when Duel Links came out I’m sure that was a pretty good time too but this might be an even bigger phenomenon at the moment. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was released on January 18th earlier this year on Steam and I assume similar timeframes for other platforms though I’m not sure. All I know is that after the Steam release it popped off big time and now most of my friends either have played it or are currently playing it. Hell, it’s doing big numbers. On my Steam account when I search for free to play games under the categories of “Top sellers” and “What’s being played” Master Duel takes the #5 spot for both. Additionally, on Steam Charts it lists Master Duel as the ninth most played game overall.
We got several reasons to account for this huge surge in popularity immediately upon release. A) The game is free. B) The game is pretty generous with its starting gems, meaning you can buy a ton of card packs on the first week as you login everyday. As long as you’re not a greedy fuck like me, you can easily build a relatively strong deck and play online quickly. C) The game is cross platform across multiple consoles and PC and just recently got a mobile release as well. D) Oh, and NOSTALGIA BABY. A ton of people grew up on some type of Yu-Gi-Oh! Whether that be the OG, GX, 5Ds, or uh whatever comes after that. Personally as a kid I had no fucking idea what was happening in the original, I enjoyed GX a good amount but I was still getting things figured out in terms of why some shit can happen and why others can’t in the game. And then boom, 5ds came out in my teen years. Armed with the mental capacity to understand the game AND the fact that 5ds had the first protagonist I really loved, Yusei, it quickly became my favorite installment. So to summarize, I’ve been loving dicking around with friends in Master Duel even if it's a hard switch to make from fighting games to card games. And that has led to remembering some of the hot ass girls the series had to offer.

Holy moly, those are simply the girls that frequent my mind most often, I’m sure there are more but trust me there’s plenty of fap material out there if you’re in for a nostalgic trip yourself *cough*. I’m sure I missed some so feel free to mention your favorite.. As you may notice I fell out of the game after 5ds which accounts for the distinct lack of characters after that point. Still these baddies were a big part of my growing up which caused many “why do these drawn girls make me feel weird” moments and I think that holds true for a ton of people out there.
