Mega Man Live-Action Announced by Netflix
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

Netflix's takes on video games have generally fared better than their anime adaptations. Things like CastlevaniaLeague of Legends: Arcane and The Witcher have their share of fans. But only one of those is in live-action, and live-action video game adaptations are a whole other problem. Can Netflix adapt a video game that had been previously adapted into anime? I'm not sure, but we're about to find out soon with Mega Man.

A live-action Mega Man was originally confirmed way back in 2018 for 20th Century Fox, but it was one of the many projects axed when Disney finally acquired Fox in 2019. It was recently announced that Netflix resurrected the project with its original crew, including writer & director duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who previously gave us Paranormal Activities 3 & 4Catfish and Project Power. The movie is being produced by their frequent collaborator Orlee-Rose Strauss for Netflix and Chernin Entertainment.

That's about all we know so far. Do you guys think a Mega Man live-action could work? Who would you cast in it? Which timeline or existing series would you base it on? Let us know below!
