Will Unreal Engine 5 Create Unreal Porn?
By WakeUpSnooze • 1 year ago

Unbeknownst to me, last month in April the Unreal Engine 5 was released and made available for developers to start using. It promised the usual type of upgrades: “make shit faster and EVEN cleaner looking than ever before!”. Now if anyone here follows a certain Dunkey on the Internet, you’d know that his stance regarding graphics boils down to the fact that these days graphical improvements are so minimal that it’s not much of a talking point. And there is some truth to that. The difference between the jump from PS2 to PS3 is huge compared to PS4 to PS5. Lord knows I’m not buying a game for PS5 instead of PS4 because man it just looks so much better. However, talk of this new engine’s capability exploded this past week when a certain 3D environment artist named Lorenzo Drago released a short video demoing a train station he made to resemble Toyama, Japan. And that shit made me eat my words. I haven’t been impressed by raw graphics in a long time, but god damn that shit looks like real life.

If this is what a  single guy can accomplish, holy moly games will be looking quite different in the coming years. Still, I’m sure it’s a lot harder to make a whole environment rather than a singular station and I also don’t know how many computers/consoles out there will be able to handle such godlikeness without dropping a ton of frames. I’m afraid my poor old graphics card from 2013 certainly won’t be doing the trick. Still that shit got me excited, especially with the implications for upcoming horror games. If you can get these kinds of graphics going in VR I might never play a horror game again. Hey.. speaking of VR…

And thus we come full circle as my brain has horny thoughts. With graphics like these, porn games would get that much closer to realism assuming some studios could scrounge up a budget. I’ve always been ready to accept VR porn with open arms, but after trying out VR a couple times myself I definitely had the feeling that I wasn’t quite in another reality just yet. But this kinda shit could change that and make me take porn games more seriously in general if the girls look like they walked out of real life. Now we simply need some advancements in the field of sex toys so you can throw one on that syncs up with what you’re seeing in game. THAT would be a bussin’ experience I tell ya what.

Yessir this is my kind of train!

One day dammit, one day I’ll be getting sucked off in the Metaverse by an anime catgirl (sponsored by Coca-Cola NFTs) whilst having my jimmy rustled by a device that simulates her cute yet dangerous blowjobs. Alas, today is not that day. Where do you guys stand in this development? Were you impressed by the demo? Are graphics still very important to the development of the gaming industry as a whole? Will VR porn become as legendary as my fantasies imagine? Drive to the station, grab your briefcase, prepare to board, and realize you were in a simulation the whole time in the comments below!
